Become a Certified Authentic Leadership Coach (CALC)
Authentic Leadership Advisors Academy focuses on molding Certified Authentic Leadership Coaches, or as we fondly refer to our alumni community, CALCs. Our program is designed to teach you how to coach the essential ‘being’ that defines a person’s identity. Our mission is to develop heart-centered coaches who help their clients find lasting fulfillment, rather than supporting them in achieving more goals without even knowing why.
We’ve developed a unique approach that we call the AIC: Authentic Intelligence Coaching Model©. It’s designed to go beyond surface-level goals and tap into the fundamental authentic identity desires that are often buried under a constant pursuit of society’s checklist of perfection. By coaching to this deeper level of awareness, your clients will achieve greater inner clarity and more sustainable success.
Our program is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and offers up to 125 training hours towards obtaining your ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential. If you’re a SHRM professional, you’ll be able to earn 40 professional development credits by attending our course.
Whether you join our in-person or virtual cohort, you’ll gain more than just skills. Each weekend module is designed to transform you and inspire you to make a meaningful impact in the world.

Section 1
The Heart of Coaching
This day segment covers delivery aspects of coaching, including: industry standards, ethics of coaching, and Authentic Leadership Advisors Academy’s signature Authentic Intelligence Coaching Model™.
Section 2
The Mastery of Coaching
This three-day segment thoroughly covers ICF Core Competencies, personal and professional development, understanding the difference between coaching standard versus coaching style, and more.
Section 3
The Business of Coaching
This three-day segment covers the business aspects of coaching, including: establishing an independent coaching practice, branding, marketing, pricing, packaging of services, business development, and more.
Section 4
The Grace of Coaching
This three-day segment thoroughly covers higher-level PCC and MCC ICF Core Competencies, ONLY for CALC Alumni nearing their PCC Application, or students pursuing their PCC through the new ICF Level 2 Path.
Al a Carte Training Options & ICF Continuing Education

Requirements for Full Certification:
- Perfect attendance (fully present and interactive class participation)
- Required reading and assessments (books and assessments not covered by tuition)
- 50 practice hours (paid and/or pro bono) outside of class for CALC Certification, 100 hours for ACC Credentail, and 500 hours for PCC Credential
- 10 Hours of ICF Mentor Coaching
- Submission of recorded coaching session(s) and transcript(s) for Oral Exam (pass/fail)

Customized Coach Training Cohorts
THE RIGHT FIT
One of the biggest challenges aspiring coaches face in choosing the right coach training program is being sure that the curriculum’s focus will be aligned with the type of coaching they wish to offer. Authentic Leadership Advisors Academy was created with this in mind. Rather than delivering the same static content repeatedly, we cover foundational material, followed by facilitated discussion tailored to meet the specific needs of the students enrolled.
Intimate Class Size
ALA Academy limits each cohort to a maximum of eight students in order to ensure that every student receives the time and attention necessary to be transformed in the course of the training. We have a minimum of two fully ICF credentialed faculty, and one or two additional faculty, on staff at all times. Our intentionally small classes and high faculty-to-student ratio are how and why we are able to keep the program so short!
Experiential Learning
We pride ourselves on being anti-PowerPoint! Each session begins with an overview and explanation of that module’s lesson, followed by interactive discussion of real-life scenarios that illustrate the topic. Class consists of a mixture of thought-provoking and fun experiential exercises, as well as in-class practice coaching, designed to solidify an individual and group understanding of the material covered.
Authentic Leadership
Authentic Leadership Advisors Academy’s Authentic Leadership Coaching Certification (CALC) program is fully accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), which provides students with training hours towards obtaining their ICF ACC or PCC credential.

Flexible Training Options
Since many coaches-in-training have fulltime jobs and otherwise hectic lives, multiple semi-monthly cohorts are offered throughout the year to meet the scheduling needs of the students enrolled. Participants may choose from in-person and virtual training options.
